Review Day!!!

How many of us look at our marriage and say that everything is absolutely 100% perfect? If you said me, then maybe you need to think about that question a little harder. No one's marriage is perfect. Darlene Schacht knows this. Who is Darlene Schacht? Well she's the author of "Messy Beautiful Love".

I was chosen to be on a launch team for Darlene's new book. I was ecstatic to have this opportunity. (You can check out her blog at www.timewarpwife.com). So I dove into the book. Literally dove! I will not sit here and say that I have a perfect marriage, Lord knows I don't. But this book has given me a different look at this messy beautiful life. She shares intimate details of her marriage and her life, like talking to an old friend.

Before you think, "Wow, I don't know if I want to delve into something like this", let me give you a little insight. We cannot change what we don't acknowledge. Darlene showed me through her experiences, God's word, little activities, and some smiles along the way, that we are perfectly imperfect. I love how she puts everything into perspective.

She talks about many different areas of marriage:
Grace
Compassion
Patience and Kindness
Submission (not that bad of a concept!!!!)
Accepting faults
Allowing your husband to lead
Handling Conflict
Communication (Probably the most important part of a marriage!)
And so many more areas!

If you are a wife, a fiance, praying for your future husband; you need this book. You need to see what this amazing book has to offer you!

A Real Crisis Point

Some of you know me on a personal level. If you do, then you know that one thing I do and do consistently is talk truth. That is something I need to do right now.

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge in the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."  Galatians 5:13-14

Why have I chosen this scripture? Well, to be perfectly honest, my flame has started to die. I don't feel free. I had a crisis point today. Now before we all get up in arms, let me explain some. I have let this world and what the world expects get in the way of my relationship with Jesus. I have been chasing business, not following my Savior. I have been irritated, lost, angry, worried, anxious, and afraid. Why? Because I let my eyes leave Jesus.

Brothers and Sisters, this revelation tonight does not leave me feeling empty. This revelation has begun to fan that flame, the flame of passion for Jesus. I prayed this afternoon and could feel the Holy Spirit fill me and light that smoldering flame. I have refocused and am ready for God to use me in mighty ways.

Brothers and Sisters, we all have times where the world tempts us. I have been foolish. I have been focused on all the wrong things in my life. I am now back on the narrow, forgiven and set free <3

Passion Week

Hello everyone! Boy have things been crazy here at the Mobley's. We have been doing a lot of work with our church, I have three businesses from home, and life on top of it all. We love being busy!!!

There have been some major changes that have happened here. My husband has had a conviction from God to make his work environment better. That is an ongoing process. This past Sunday, I listened to a conviction in my heart about my appearance. I have so far been a week in skirts only and feel this is bringing my relationship with God to a whole new level. The  biggest change is that my husband and I quit smoking cigarettes. He is at day 4 and I am at day 35!!! We feel God moving in our lives BIG TIME and we are listening to everything He is telling us to do.

Since this week is Passion week, I want to reflect a bit on what our Savior did for us. It isn't just about the pain, the wounds, the blood. It is also about the resurrection, that He returned and will return again! I cannot wait to see my Savior face to face! How amazing will that be???

Brothers and Sisters, this week and every week I encourage you to not only love one another and yourself, but to always remember what this week is all about. Jesus gave His life for YOU! Bear your cross with Him!

Family Coupons

Coupons were made to save money on products and services, right? Well, here's my thought.
Everyone has seen the "love" coupons at the store this time of year. But why have them just be specified for you and your husband? Here's a list of Family Cards and why just use them around Valentine's Day?

1. Breakfast in bed.
2. Favorite movie and popcorn night.
3. No chore day.
4. Special dinner or meal of their choice.
5. Special one on one time with mom or dad.
6. Go to the movies.
7. Dinner out.
8. Crazy dance party!

This is just a start! Add more for your family's lifestyle and likes/dislikes. Be intentional about family time.

Make this week about the ones you love!

There are those ads, I wondered where they went. You know what ads I'm talking about....

"Give her the gift of diamonds", "He went Jared", "Make her Valentine's Day special".

These ads we hear year after year. Marketing companies making millions on designing the perfect ads for stores. Some of the ads peek your interest, some are just silly, and some you aren't sure what they're really trying to sell.

To the ladies reading this blog, do we really need all these material things? Every day should have the same feeling as Valentine's Day. This week, in honor of the national "love" week, I'm going to share some family goodies and special things you can do for your hubby to make him feel special (cuz lets face it, he really is amazing!!!)

God created us ladies to be our husbands helpmeet. We do a lot for our families. But just that little extra umph..... Wil show your husband how much he really means to you ♥♡♥

Happy New Year!

Another year has passed, a new one has begun! I love this time of year. Fresh start. New beginnings. I see hundreds of people bustling about making resolutions, trying to keep them, and showing the world they can do it.

Here's where I'm different. My resolutions are mine. I don't look to the world for approval. I don't need the worls to see my successes and failures. My resolutions are kept in my heart between me and God.

The gyms will be packed the next few weeks, then dwindle down. Diet plans will fly off the shelves. Self help bookshelves will be empty. Smoking cessation programs will be at their peak. I send positive notes to all those jumping on the resolution bandwagon.

God will give you all the desires of your heart when the time is right.

I used to jump on the resolution bandwagon, only to set myself up for failure. This year, I get off the bandwagon. God has a plan for me. I trust Him!

I will continue to be a homemaker. I will continue to submit to my husband. I will continue to minister to my family and others. I will continue to pursue my passions. I will continue all of this with God by my side.

I pray all of you have an amazing 2014. Pray harder, love deeper, smile more, and laugh longer.
