Been a hectic few days

Sorry it has been such a gap between posts. With Christmas fast approaching, it's been a crazy few days. Trying to get the house ready, last minute shopping (which is always the case), and just all around nuttiness.

I had a few minutes to myself last night and a picture showed up on my Facebook feed. It had two statues; one thinker, one doer. This simple picture really made me think. Which one am I? I would like to think I'm a little bit of both but I'm not too sure.

I am an over analyzer. I tend to over think even the simplest of problems. But when I know something needs to be done or is the right thing to do, I just do it. I think we all are a little of both. But is there one that you'd like to be more than the other? I know I'd like to be more of a doer!

This also comes into play when studying the Word of God. I can give you a dozen people who can quote scripture, but never follow the Word of God. I can also give you people who mirror the Word of God as best as humanly possible, that honestly have never owned a Bible. I guess my point it, when studying and reading the Word of God and reflecting(thinking), we must also bring the Word of God to others and live by his laws and do our best to walk closely with Him(doing).

Everyone has the decision today and everyday. Are you going to be a thinker, or a doer?
